All the RRBs function under the direct control of Railway Recruitment Control Board of the Ministry of Railways located at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi-110001. RRCB is headed by Director General(Staff), Railway Board as its Chairman. Additional Member(Staff) and Additional Member(Vigilance) are its other members while Executive Director, Establishment (RRB) functions as its Secretary. RRCB issues instructions and guidelines to the RRBs to ensure that recruitment is done on the basis of merit and in accordance with Government policy.

Railway Recruitment Board, Ahmedabad was established in the year 1982 and was assigned the task of recruitment of Group “C” staff under various categories for all the Railway establishments falling under its jurisdiction. It is working under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.

09:30 to 18:00 Hrs (On all week days, except Saturday / Sunday)

Mission

To ensure timely planning, scheduling & publication of Centralized Employment Notifications (CENs) for various categories of posts and ensuring fair, transparent, simple & candidate friendly recruitment process /Test(s) completed within minimum period of recruitment cycle by deployment of least amount of funds and personnel.
